Canberra Raiders vs Canterbury Bulldogs – Friday night – GIO Stadium
How do you solve a problem like the Raiders? The Raiders are probably still good enough to beat some teams at home this season, but I doubt the Bulldogs are one of those teams. Reynolds and Hodkinson return from an Origin series win and they'll bring some confidence with them. Quite a few troops are missing from the Bulldogs backline but the forwards are near full-strength and that should be enough.
Verdict – Bulldogs by 4
Result - Bulldogs 22 defeated Raiders 14
New Zealand Warriors vs Brisbane Broncos – Saturday night – Mt Smart Stadium
No Parker, No Thaiday, No Hodges, No McCullough. That's according to the team listing I have at the time of writing, so I'll run with it (Thaiday and Hodges could still come in). It's still a pretty strong Broncos side but it would be quite a win to cross the ditch and beat the Warriors at home under these circumstances. Note that Ben Matulino is out for the Warriors with a knee injury - he's a major omission but I'll go with the home team nonetheless.
Verdict – Warriors by 8
Result - Warriors 19 defeated Broncos 10
Cronulla Sharks vs Manly Sea Eagles – Saturday night – Remondis Stadium
The list of 'ins' for the Sharks is almost as long as the team list this weekend - Carney, Robson, Tupou, Wright, Feki, Gallen and Lewis. Life has been pretty bleak for the Sharks this season, and I expect it will soon get even bleaker. Still, every dog has its day, and this could be a rare victory for the boys from the Shire in season 2014. Manly have named Watmough and Cherry-Evans, but there has to be doubts about either and/or both fronting up.
Verdict – Sharks by 4
Result - Sea Eagles 26 defeated Sharks 0
Melbourne Storm vs Parramatta Eels – Sunday afternoon - AAMI Park
I know they had some luck last week, but if Melbourne can win away from home without Smith, Slater and Hoffman they can win at home with them. I expect all three will play. The Eels have elected to rest Hayne previously on the back of Origin duty so he's a likely omission, and I can't imagine Hopoate will be there. The Storm at home, in possibly the game of the round.
Verdict – Storm by 2
Result - Storm 46 defeated Eels 20
Gold Coast Titans vs St George Illawarra Dragons – Sunday afternoon – Cbus Super Stadium
Playmakers at the Titans are going down faster than drummers in Spinal Tap at the moment, and Daniel Mortimer has been signed on a mid-year deal to help stem the carnage. I hope he has decent health cover. The Dragons are starting to improve under new management and the Marshall recruitment strategy may pay off yet. Still, there's enough wise old heads returning to the Titans line-up in Bird and Myles to steady their wobbly ship. And the slightly less wise Dave Taylor is back too. Tricky, but I'm with the home side again.
Verdict – Titans by 4
Result - Dragons 19 defeated Titans 18
Newcastle Knights vs North Queensland Cowboys – Monday night – Hunter Stadium
Tipping the Cowboys away from home is a dangerous past-time, although their record isn't quite as bad if you put a line through games played in Sydney. Scott and Tate have been named for the Cowboys but clearly they won't be there, and there is some doubt about Thurston getting there given he's facing a head-butting charge. Even trickier, but it's another home side victory.
Verdict – Knights by 4
Result - Kinghts 36 defeated Cowboys 28
Wally Lewis - round fifteen selections (in bold)
Note: tips from Wally will be published on Thursday night or early Friday morning.

- WARRIORS vs Broncos
- Sharks vs SEA EAGLES

Hi everyone,
First up, what a game that was last night! Newbie can only describe it as an “epic” football feast! So glad I got to watch it at 5.30 as it gave me enough time to “come down” so that I could actually get to sleep when I eventually hit the sack. Phew! Well done Blues for finally getting your mojo happening. Bet there’s plenty of happy fans south of the border at the moment. I was a bit disappointed in the loss as I was hoping it would all hinge on a “decider” but hey, that’s life! Bring on the next one!
OK, decided this week to refrain from too much analysis and just go with my gut. I mean, on paper it looks pretty cut and dried but as it’s been proven to this “newbie from Perth” week after week, this beautiful game can throw some surprises at you when you least expect it. On top of that, I see that The Great One, The King and fellow tipsters all seem to have me questioning my tips but I’ll stick with what I have and hope for the best.
Having said that, let’s move along to this week’s games …
Doggies
Broncos
Manly
Storm
Titans
Cowboys
OK people, good luck with your tipping this week and good luck to your team as well. Cheers.

Nothing to say about SOO except thought Thaiday had regained that ball or if it wasn't a try then surely a strip by Hayne...penalty Qld. Also thought the violence against Qld kickers was disgraceful. Dont blame NSW but do blame the refs for letting it go.
Now for this week
Dogs
Warriors
Manly
Storm
Dragons
Knights
Good luck to your teams.

Still in recovery mode from SOO2. I had the chance to pick up three much needed points in my office comp with a Queensland 1-12 win but it wasn't to be. Turning point for me was Dave Taylor's stupid pass to McQueen that was knocked on. The Maroons never recovered after that but overall I think they were the better side. On with this weekend's tips:
Bulldogs - Expect them to break their losing streak this week. Hopefully their triumphant halves turn up.
Warriors - Looks like it will be a damp track in Auckland tomorrow night. Hope you'll be there wearing your onesie Johnny Ray.
Sea Eagles - I can't tip the Sharks no matter who's back. I think Manly have too much class.
Storm - Melbourne were good for me last week so I'm sticking with them at home against a Hayne-less Eels.
Dragons - Not sure why I'm tipping the Dragons as the Titans are due a win. I'm hoping that a superior 6 & 7 can get them home and I'm still filthy with the Coaltrain.
Cowboys - I've tipped the Knights in their last two home games and come up empty. Over them....
Good luck to everyone this weekend!!!!

Oh My Goodness.
State of origin - mock me if you will, but I teared up along with Jarrod Hayne, maybe it was the excitement that we finally won, or I had on few to many rums, or because in his excitement my housemate picked my up in a bear hug then dropped me on the ground, jarring my tail bone ... hmm. Either way it wsa a proud moment, seeing how that last time the blues won I was still sucking my thumb and clutching my mothers skirt .. anywayyy
Tips for the week --
Bulldogs
Warriors
Sharks
Eels
Dragons
Knights
...
Good luck everyone :)
