Round six selections

Canberra Raiders vs North Queensland Cowboys – Thursday night – GIO Stadium

Round six and this is the first time the Cowboys have had to leave Queensland this season, which is unusual. It's also unusual that these sides are playing each other again after facing off in round two. That was in Townsville, where the Cowboys were dominant winners 26-6. The Raiders were without Cotric and Rapana that night, and adding two big bodies to their back three is likely to make a substantial difference to their go forward. The Raiders are two from two at home this year and a big crowd should help with their go-forward too. I'm expecting plenty of points in what should be an entertaining and close contest. Raiders at home.

Verdict – Raiders by 2

Result – Cowboys 18 defeated Raiders 12

South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Canterbury Bulldogs – Friday night – Accor Stadium

The last thing Latrell Mitchell (and the Rabbitohs) need is an injured Latrell Mitchell. He needs matches under his belt and another 6-8 weeks on the sideline is fairly disastrous. That said, the Bunnies made the grand final in 2021 without Mitchell (and they almost won it). Blake Taaffe returns at fullback and while he's not Mitchell he's no hack. The Bulldogs have suffered a couple of hefty losses over the last fortnight but they have been against two of the genuine competition heavyweights. This is easier, and you know they'll give their all, but one gets the sense that Cameron Murray or Keaon Koloamatangi will step up at a crucial moment and ice the result.

Verdict – Rabbitohs by 4

Result – Rabbitohs 36 defeated Bulldogs 16

Penrith Panthers vs Brisbane Broncos – Friday night – BlueBet Stadium

Through five rounds the most points the Broncos have scored in 80 minutes was 20. That was in round five to the Chooks, and it still wasn't enough. Through five rounds the least points the Panthers have scored is 20. That was in round two and it was enough, and it was without Nathan Cleary. To make things even harder for the Broncos, they are on the dreaded road trip to Penrith, and they won't have Payne Haas after the shoe debacle. A result that picks itself.

Verdict – Panthers by 20

Result – Panthers 40 defeated Broncos 12

Manly Sea Eagles vs Gold Coast Titans – Saturday afternoon – 4 Pines Park

The Sea Eagles won without their turbo last week, and in convincing fashion. After their traditionally slow start to the season they appear to be warming up nicely. The Titans have scored 20 or more points in four of their five games this season. Unfortunately they still lost in three of those games - so defence is an issue. The only team they have contained this season is the Tigers, and you don't get bragging rights for that. They also haven't won a game away from home this year, and few teams pick up a win at Brookvale.

Verdict – Sea Eagles by 4

Result – Sea Eagles 26 defeated Titans 18

Melbourne Storm vs Cronulla Sharks – Saturday night – AAMI Park

The Sharks have become a bit of a bandwagon team of late and, to be fair, I've spruiked them a bit myself. They do look like a top eight team and, should their key players stay fit and well, top four looks likely too. Those on the bandwagon do need to remind themselves that their last three opponents (Dragons, Knights, Tigers) are all a bit crap. We get a better guide to their prospects on Saturday night, on the road against a team that are always in the top four. The Storm have lost just the once this year, in extra time to a top four team. They're chugging along nicely. It's also no fluke that the two players that have had the most impact for the Sharks this season are ex-Storm players Hynes and Finucane. No doubt they'd both love to notch up a win against their old club, but few visiting teams pick up the two points on the road trip to Melbourne. It's the game of the round - Papenhuyzen with a late field goal to seal the win.

Verdict – Storm by 1

Result – Storm 34 defeated Sharks 18

Sydney Roosters vs New Zealand Warriors – Saturday night – Sydney Cricket Ground

There's been a lot of focus on Sam Walker and his defensive 'lapses' this season. He's missed quite a few tackles certainly, but opponents target him, and he's missing less tackles than Mitchell Moses and Cameron Munster who  don't seem to be getting any grief about it. Nathan Cleary missed nine tackles in the grand final last year (and they still gave him the Clive Churchill medal). In any case, the Roosters are a better team with Walker on the park because he can create things in attack that few others can. The Chooks were down 10-0 last week but didn't panic and found a way to win. The Warriors meanwhile have found some form, winning three in a row. This will be harder I think, particularly with Taukeiaho and Verrills returning for the tricolours. Notably, the game is in Sydney, and the Warriors record in the harbour city has been poor for years.

Verdict – Roosters by 4

Result – Roosters 22 defeated Warriors 14

St George Illawarra Dragons vs Newcastle Knights – Sunday afternoon – WIN Stadium, Wollongong

The 14th placed Dragons take on the 11th placed Knights, and it's hard to get enthusiastic about the contest. To give these sides an ounce of credit, they have both been competing against better teams in recent weeks (although when you are low on the ladder most of the teams are better than you). The Knights started the season well (as they often can) but have been poor in recent outings. They've scored just one try in their last two games. The Dragons attack hasn't fared much better mind you. Hopefully on a dry deck in an afternoon timeslot both sides will improve on that front. I'm with the Dragons at home in front of what could be a sizeable crowd.

Verdict – Dragons by 2

Result – Dragons 21 defeated Knights 16

Parramatta Eels vs Wests Tigers – Sunday afternoon – CommBank Stadium

I'm feeling for the Tigers...I truly am.

Verdict – Eels by 30

Result – Tigers 21 defeated Eels 20

"Dia duit gach duine" i dteanga ní mo theanga féin,

With the Rooster girls winning last week’s GF at least we have some silverware in the cabinet this year 😁. Well done ladies! Now, if only the boys can do the same thing … dare I dream?

Speaking of the boys, weren’t they pushed last week against those Broncos eh? I had a bad feeling heading into half-time but was feeling a whole lot better 15 minutes into the second half. My brother and I were texting back and forth when the Broncos put the pressure on right at the end and both our stress levels were through the roof! The relief that came with the win had a “healing quality” to say the least. No medication required last week 🤪.

Are we all going “home teams” this week? Hmmm… OK, let’s do this thing …

Raiders vs. Cowboys @ GIO
Probability @ 60-40
Ladder Position = Raiders
Bookies Favourite = Raiders

Raiders
The Raiders were beaten 30-16 last week by the Storm and a large part of that was due to some poor discipline and a poor defensive attitude. They just weren’t able to put enough pressure on the Storm and they were made to pay the price. Too many errors yet again and something that Ricky needs to somehow address. I read somewhere (and correct me if I’m wrong) that the Raiders now lead the competition with 54 errors after the first five rounds this year. Coach Ricky Stuart said that the Raiders’ results wouldn't change until his side improved its efficiency. I couldn’t agree more. Some stats possibly worth a mention:

Possession - 49%
Completion Rate - 67% (27/40)
Post Contact Metres - 518
Tackle Breaks - 31
Missed Tackles - 34
Errors - 13
Penalties Conceded - 7

Cowboys
The Cowboys lost a heart-breaker 25-24 last week against the Warriors with one of the wobbliest FG attempts seen in a while off the boot of Shaun Johnson. The Cowboys looked good in the first half and had built up a handy lead but through some poor discipline and defence, they let the Warriors score either side of half-time and get back in the game. The Cowboys dominated for most of the match but just couldn’t convert that dominance into points. In the end the Cowboys were too fatigued and the Warriors marched down the field, Johnson has yet another shot at FG and the rest is history. "We gift-wrapped the game and handed it to the Warriors," Cowboys coach Todd Payten said. "A large part of that game we were in control but through our poor discipline ... we're sitting there down on life.” Some stats possibly worth a mention:

Possession - 55%
Completion Rate - 92% (38/41)
Post Contact Metres - 672
Tackle Breaks - 25
Missed Tackles - 36
Errors - 5
Penalties Conceded - 6

Verdict: Not sure with this one. Both lost last week but based on their opposition and the home ground advantage I’ll stick with the Raiders.

Rabbitohs vs. Bulldogs @ Stadium Aust
Probability @ 70-30
Ladder Position = Rabbitohs
Bookies Favourite = Rabbitohs

Rabbitohs
The Rabbitohs got themselves a 24-12 win last week against the Dragons but were far from their best. OK, the quality of opposition wasn’t great but still, the guys they had on the paddock should’ve done a lot better. Their spine struggled to find some sort of rhythm but thankfully Damien Cook stepped up and had his best game this year. He provided the ignition the Bunnies needed. The win was soured to some extent by the injury to Mitchell and as we all know, he’ll be out for about 8 weeks. The Bunnies made too many errors in the second half but when they got opportunities, they made the most of them. Having said that, the Bunnies’ finishing was lacking at stages. Some stats possibly worth a mention:

Possession - 50%
Completion Rate - 72% (31/43)
Post Contact Metres - 671
Tackle Breaks - 31
Missed Tackles - 33
Errors - 12
Penalties Conceded - 6

Bulldogs
The Bulldogs lost 32-12 last week to the Panthers but they are improving as time goes on I think. They still made silly errors but in my opinion, and after you factor in the class difference, I thought they held their own against the reigning premiers. Only downside was their jamming defence letting them down. You can’t afford to do that against a top tier side like the Panthers and hope to get away with it. I was impressed with Kyle Flanagan’s return I must say. I had a lot of time for him when he was at the Roosters and thought he was hard done by. After similar treatment at the Bulldogs it was good to see him come in and prove the doubters wrong. "The most glaring thing was our own errors coming out of our own half. We gifted them too much field position and in the end, as brave as you can be, it wears you down," coach Trent Barrett said. Some stats possibly worth a mention:

Possession - 42%
Completion Rate - 72% (26/36)
Post Contact Metres - 303
Tackle Breaks - 22
Missed Tackles - 25
Errors - 16
Penalties Conceded - 6

Verdict: Anyone other than the Bunnies and I’d be tempted to give the Bulldogs a decent sort of chance. Nah, Rabbitohs “should” get this done.

Panthers vs. Broncos @ Panthers Stadium
Probability @ 80-20
Ladder Position = Panthers
Bookies Favourite = Panthers

Panthers
Another impressive effort from the Panthers last week saw them come away with a 32-12 victory over the Bulldogs. Went about their job in a professional and clinical manner and did what good teams do. Great contributions from Dylan Edwards, Isaah Yeo and Matt Eisenhuth. Some stats possibly worth a mention:

Possession - 58%
Completion Rate - 83% (36/43)
Post Contact Metres - 464
Tackle Breaks - 24
Missed Tackles - 22
Errors - 9
Penalties Conceded - 7

Broncos
Even though the Broncos lost 24-20 last week, I thought they were very impressive. The Broncos had some missed opportunities in a first half I thought they won convincingly. They let the Roosters back into the match in the second half with a few too many errors and lapses in concentration. If only they could be more consistent. The two things that stood out for me was Cobbo’s run to get out of his own goal line and the exhibition from Kotoni Staggs on Momorovski. Up against the right opposition player, Kotoni can be a beast sometimes! Staggs finished with 196 running metres, 14 tackle breaks and a try in an awesome effort. It hurts me to say this but I think the better team lost. "Thought we probably deserved to win tonight to be honest but rugby league doesn't always give you what you deserve," coach Kevin Walters said. "If we provide that character every week we're going to be a good footy side." No doubt the Broncos’ fans are gutted. Some stats possibly worth a mention:

Possession - 52%
Completion Rate - 83% (35/42)
Post Contact Metres - 558
Tackle Breaks - 36
Missed Tackles - 30
Errors - 10
Penalties Conceded - 5

Verdict: While I thought the Broncos were very good last week I can’t go past the Panthers in this one. Panthers to keep rolling along.

Manly vs. Titans @ Brookvale
Probability @ 65-35
Ladder Position = Manly
Bookies Favourite = Manly

Manly
Manly gambolled to a 30-6 win against the Knights last week but left it late (scoring 3 tries at the 69th, 72nd and 77th minute marks) to put the game to bed. Up until the late onslaught it was a pretty even affair and that final score didn’t tell the whole story. Mind you, they did play the better wet weather footy and they did score the points so the win was well deserved. Even in the wet conditions, DCE had a great game. Well besides that shocking kick to Saab that is 😁. Some stats possibly worth a mention:

Possession - 51%
Completion Rate - 76% (32/42)
Post Contact Metres - 672
Tackle Breaks - 30
Missed Tackles - 16
Errors - 11
Penalties Conceded - 8

Titans
The Titans did well to fight back against the Eels last week but it wasn’t enough and they went down 26-20. The Titans may have done better had they not been down 14-0 at half-time I should point out. They were simply outplayed in that first 40 but did much better in the second. While their effort to get right back into the match was admirable, they just seem a little inconsistent to me. "We just didn't win any key moments of that first half. We did it tough down 14-0 so that made it really hard to win the game. They are one of the top sides, we are getting closer but we have got to start winning those games,” coach Justin Holbrook said. That 40 metre try David Fifita scored out of dummy half was beastly. Now, if only he could do that every week 🤪. Some stats possibly worth a mention:

Possession - 48%
Completion Rate - 81% (35/43)
Post Contact Metres - 556
Tackle Breaks - 17
Missed Tackles - 22
Errors - 9
Penalties Conceded - 1

Verdict: The Titans’ effort last week was (sorta) full of merit but they’re too up and down for mine. Manly to get up here.

Storm vs. Sharks @ AAMI
Probability @ 65-35
Ladder Position = Sharks*
Bookies Favourite = Storm

Storm
Another impressive effort from the Storm last week saw them come away with a 30-16 victory over the Raiders. Went about their job in a professional and clinical manner and did what good teams do. Great contributions from Jahrome Hughes, Cameron Munster and Nelson Asofa-Solomona. Some stats possibly worth a mention:

Possession - 51%
Completion Rate - 82% (33/40)
Post Contact Metres - 570
Tackle Breaks - 34
Missed Tackles - 31
Errors - 12
Penalties Conceded - 9

Sharks
The Sharks were very, very good last week in their 30-4 victory over the Tigers. The Sharks ripped through the Tigers delicate defence for basically the whole game. The way they were playing I thought the score could’ve been more than it was and it should’ve been considering they bombed at least 2 tries and Hynes missed 3 conversions. Can’t believe they had 51 sets 🤪. "There is a balance between playing the style of football we want to play and also reining it in and getting to the end of our sets," Sharks coach Craig Fitzgibbon said. "It's a tough balance, because I don't want them to stop playing either." Some stats possibly worth a mention:

Possession - 56%
Completion Rate - 70% (36/51)
Post Contact Metres - 568
Tackle Breaks - 41
Missed Tackles - 21
Errors - 15
Penalties Conceded - 5

Verdict: OK, the Sharks are winning and they’re sitting second but just remember that besides the Eels in Round 2, they haven’t beaten anyone top quality. The Storm will be a good test for them. The Storm to win at home.

Roosters vs. Warriors @ SCG
Probability @ 75-25
Ladder Position = Roosters
Bookies Favourite = Roosters

Roosters
After losing the first half and being down 10-0 at the break, the Roosters came out in the second half and scored 24 points to snatch a 24-20 victory over an impressive Broncos side. Sammy Walker landed a clutch sideline conversion that put the Roosters in front 18-16 with just 5 minutes left on the clock and then laid on the pass for Sitili Tupouniua to score what everyone thought was the match winning try. The Broncos didn’t give up though and scored one themselves but the Roosters held the Broncos out long enough to sneak in. Joey Manu was immense in that second half and basically won the game for the Roosters. I was impressed with how the Roosters came back in that second 40. Their class and belief (and a stellar effort from Manu) was what got them home. "I loved the game. Thought it was a great game ... the Broncos nailed the game tonight. They came out and lots of guys had their best games of the year tonight," Roosters coach Trent Robinson said. "The team didn't waver. We had some tries scored against us but the team didn't waver." Some stats possibly worth a mention:

Possession - 48%
Completion Rate - 71% (30/42)
Post Contact Metres - 547
Tackle Breaks - 30
Missed Tackles - 36
Errors - 13
Penalties Conceded - 5

Warriors
Shaun Johnson had a bucket load of field goal attempts trying to get the Warriors home against the Cowboys last week and in the 82nd minute he finally succeeded with his worst attempt of the match and the Warriors snuck in 25-24. The early lack of discipline and pretty average defence from the Warriors saw the Cowboys build a sizeable lead in the first half but the Warriors gradually fought their way back into it to level the scores at 24-all with 14 minutes left to play. As I said, Johnson had numerous attempts with the FG (stats tell me he had 5) and eventually he wobbled one through to break the Cowboys’ hearts. "The amount of goal-line defence we did, to give us a chance to win the game, I thought we deserved to win," Warriors coach Nathan Brown said. Some stats possibly worth a mention:

Possession - 45%
Completion Rate - 82% (33/40)
Post Contact Metres - 534
Tackle Breaks - 36
Missed Tackles - 25
Errors - 8
Penalties Conceded - 3

Verdict: There might be a small class difference in this one. Roosters for me. Begurk! 🐔 Begurk! 🐔

Dragons vs. Knights @ WIN
Probability @ 60-40
Ladder Position = Knights
Bookies Favourite = Dragons

Dragons
The Dragons were pretty average overall last week. Their first half (even though they went scoreless) was (sorta) OK but they just didn’t carry it on in the second half and ended up losing 24-12. Apparently the Dragons completed just 9 of 17 sets in that second 40. Most of the time they didn’t threaten the underperforming Bunnies side. They made too many errors and were wasteful with the ball. They did get to 10-6 at one point but couldn’t go on with it. "Once we got back into the game we hardly gave ourselves a chance," coach Anthony Griffin said. They may have found a future star in winger Feagai though. I think he ran for almost 200 metres last week. They want to hope that he continues on with the good form and that he stays with the club for a while. Some stats possibly worth a mention:

Possession - 50%
Completion Rate - 67% (29/43)
Post Contact Metres - 591
Tackle Breaks - 33
Missed Tackles - 31
Errors - 17
Penalties Conceded - 5

Knights
The Knights got smacked 30-6 last week against Manly but the score didn’t reflect the contest all that accurately. Yes the Knights weren’t at their best at times but they were dealing with a number of injuries in that match and up until Manly’s late burst with 11 minutes to go, they were doing alright. It might sound a bit cliché but I thought the Knights were courageous in defeat. All the luck seemed to desert them last week, especially with injuries. I thought Adam Clune really stood up considering how he was basically the “walking wounded” 💪. Some stats possibly worth a mention:

Possession - 49%
Completion Rate - 69% (29/42)
Post Contact Metres - 575
Tackle Breaks - 16
Missed Tackles - 30
Errors - 13
Penalties Conceded - 7

Verdict: It might take a week or two for the Knights to rebound from last week so I think I’ll trust the rankings and the bookies and tip the Dragons this week.

Eels vs. Tigers @ Parramatta
Probability @ 80-20
Ladder Position = Eels
Bookies Favourite = Eels

Eels
The Eels won a thriller last week against the Titans 26-20. Their first half was exceptional but they were made to work for it in the second. The Eels were cruising along, were ahead 20-0 and they did well to hold out the Titans’ comeback. And they did it after the Titans scored those two notorious “captain’s challenge” tries and another one while Junior Paulo was having a rest in the bin. All in all it was a nice effort from the Eels, except maybe for the amount of errors they made. Some stats possibly worth a mention:

Possession - 52%
Completion Rate - 80% (32/40)
Post Contact Metres - 756
Tackle Breaks - 22
Missed Tackles - 17
Errors - 9
Penalties Conceded - 10

Tigers
Can things get any worse for the poor ol’ Tigers? While they were pretty awful last week in their 30-4 loss to the Sharks, I thought at various stages they weren’t that bad but those occasions were far and few between and they simply lacked the finish. As bad as they’re travelling at the minute I do believe they will get on the board soon, but when that happens is anyone’s guess. They just need to somehow reduce their errors so they can apply some pressure in games. While they were missing Daine Laurie and James Roberts, I don’t think that would’ve helped. To any Tiger fans out there … don’t give up hope just yet. At least they got some points from that Ken Maumalo intercept try right at the death 💪. Some stats possibly worth a mention:

Possession - 44%
Completion Rate - 66% (26/39)
Post Contact Metres - 372
Tackle Breaks - 21
Missed Tackles - 41
Errors - 16
Penalties Conceded - 5

Verdict: What can I say about the Tigers that hasn’t been said already? Eels to win here.

Let’s finish off with another “Song of the Week”. Now this is something completely different. I remember Dad playing some of this guy’s 45s on the record player when I was very, very young 🤪

https://youtu.be/fyAUKU_ImNg

OK kids, good luck with your tipping and may your team win by 40 points! Until next week. Cheers 🐔 🐔 🐔

@ Rob181 - you did your pick for the 3 strike comp, but where are your tips for this round?
Not too late to submit them in the comments!!

@ Buzz105 - are you submitting your pick for 'a's' 3 strike comp?

Happy Easter to all

Hi Baggy,
Did you see my reply last Sunday?
Happy Easter mate ! (And to everyone!)
Thinker, I hope you are going okay with the dreaded Covid and the family don't catch it also and to you too Christine. I had symptoms on Monday & Tuesday and got tested yesterday.
Came back negative and looks like I've just got the good 'ol flu. Never thought I'd be thankful that I've caught the flu !!!

MGM's picture

Baggy,
I just looked back to last week's comments and found I was confusing you with The Butcher !!.... sorry about that mate, but Happy Easter anyway.

The Tide Head's picture

I hereby rename Canberra as 'The Faders'. They need a slap, not a clap... Argh!

Steel Panther's picture

The Viking slap....nice call Tide Head. Surely Ricky Stuart needs to go. Berate your players behind close doors, yes, but to come out in the media and bag them is unprofessional in my opinion.

Steel Panther's picture

Hey Big Pete,

Trust you are well in BX country. We are still enjoying some late summer sun here in Auckland although it is notably cooler in the evenings.

I see you picked up another strike in a's game last night like me thanks to those poor Raiders. I went to bed at half time with Canberra 12-0 up but i didn't feel confident. Woke up this morning to the disappointing result. At least my beloved Rangers thru to the Europa semis after a second leg 3-1 win this morning to win 3-2 on aggregate.

Take care!!

a's picture

Yeah I agree Ricky Stuart days are over

Baggy_Gee's picture

It's all good MGM, the family and I had the Koff ourselves. Nothing really happened except that we were a bit fluey. Great to hear you have the normal flu and don't have to jump through the hoops too.

BigPeteBx's picture

Good late Friday night Steely.
Had lots on and yes mate Raiders cost me a strike (2nd one). 12 nil up at half time and doused out like a fire. Someone should have told the players there is a 2nd Half. Yes mate, you, me and I think Scotty Seahawk had Raiders. I think we were thinking along the same method within 'a' comp - there are ways.

Rangers also mine. Wont speak EPL - my Devils are devils to themselves.
We have 6Hour Car Race here this weekend. Starts on 7 tomorrow at 12pm for Saturdays session, then Sunday it is it. In May the 12 Hour race is on. Had some good NZ drivers compete here over many years and in V8's. I think SVG isn't able to contest this 6Hour. He certainly pushes the limits and is a very astute driver.

Have a nice Easter mate, thanks for keeping contact and keep well.
Big Pete in Bx Country.

Happy Easter Saturday Folks
Fairly disappointed with the effort by the Raiders at home in chilly weather. The Cowboys coming from much warmer weather, you would think may have suffered a bit, they only got warmer as the game went on.
Still some interesting match ups to come with what appears to be straight forward results in most.

Off to golf for a wee hit and a few beers, have a great Easter

Agreed something is off with the Raiders at the moment

Mgm retest just to be sure rats are giving negetaive results pcr is more accurate I hope for your sake you don't have it I am still coughing since mid march from long covid , if you eat or have sugary drinks it can affect a rat result not everyone knows that but it's true ...

Christine's picture

Mgm I am glad you don't have covid really because they say you can get it again with in 8 weeks of having it , I only said to get retested because I know rats can give false results my first 2 were positive no argueing about it I did 2 just to make sure the first one wasn't a false result then to confirm a positive pcr purely because it is more accurate but in my case for me getting covid is worse mum I have Ms primary progression as well as having covid so I am immune compromised everything hits me hard lucky for me it was mild to moderate covid otherwise the tablets they gave me wouldn't helped me it was just to keep me out of going to hospital thankfully it did but now I have long covid as I said it is left over from having covid it is a nasal infection from the covid & the effects can last 2 to 8 weeks I found taking an antibiotics helped me at first but then it went to far I started oughtn't more so I stopped taking them but I have been coughing since mid march I have rediscovered my abs again 😊 newbie I have I thought you might like that one newbie this Rona is not going away anytime soon ...

Nice to see the mighty West Tigers win a scrum against the tide during 7th minute of the second half. Love a good scrummage for a change.

tigerholic's picture

Oh yeah Tigers

Well done, such a relief.

Tiger

mark ashford's picture

Tiger, Well done to your team, must give you a bit of relief. Cost me a point but happy for you brother.

Rocket Ryan's picture

Cost me a point to and I'm not happy I don't know why you're so happy you didn't back them yourself you great buffon

Baggy_Gee's picture

Kinda needed that point myself. Saddened by the bunkers call of a 2pt field goal and a few others in the game, but we were rubbish and not up to the task today.

tigerholic's picture

Only one brave tipster tipped the Tigers and that was Tigergirl, well done to you.
I am the first to admit that I haven't tipped the Tigers all year, that win means so much more than a point in the tipping, it takes the pressure right off the players and Madge and the supporters.
I thought the Thinker would have been a few points shy with his prediction but there you go.
It's good to be a Tiger right now, and we are off the bottom of the ladder.
