Round seventeen selections

Sydney Roosters vs Canterbury Bulldogs – Thursday night – Allianz Stadium

Boyd Cordnor isn't quite there yet, but the seventeen named for the Chooks on Thursday night would have to be close to the best team they've cobbled together in a season that's gone from awkward to worse. On paper they should win, but winning is done on the field and we've seen very little of that from the team that won the last three minor premierships in a row. It's been quite the fall from grace. Meanwhile the Bulldogs are becoming a little more predictable and consistent...in a good way. Convincing victories over the Broncos and the Dragons and a narrow loss to the Sharks is good form. A repeat of their performance last round and they'll be winning again. If the Chooks got up here I'd be less surprised than most, but I can't bring myself to tip them. Woof! Woof!

Verdict – Bulldogs by 7

Result - Bulldogs 24 defeated Roosters 20

Brisbane Broncos vs Melbourne Storm – Friday night – Suncorp Stadium

I really don't know what to do here. The Storm almost never lose in Brisbane and the Broncos have been off the pace since round 11. They are the facts, and on facts alone the Storm pick themselves, but this game should come with an asterisk and a disclaimer. There are murmurings that Bellamy may rest his Origin stars, and if they do that the Storm are playing without their first choice in jerseys 1, 6, 7 and 9. Note the extended Storm bench with Curtis Stott (a halfback) and Slade Griffin (a hooker). Am I over-thinking this? One player who definitely won't be there is Asafa-Solomona and his absence goes a long way toward evening out the battle of the big men. Bennett doesn't fire off rockets like Bellamy does, but he was critical of his team (or parts thereof) after their dismal showing against the Bulldogs. When Bennett isn't happy his players usually respond. The Origin players should be ready to rumble, and some key non-Origin players for the Broncos are back this week in Glenn and McCullough. Kahu isn't far away either and could be a late inclusion. I doubt it's a coincidence that the form slump from the Broncos halves has occurred while McCullough has been injured. With his return, and doubts over the Storm line-up, I'm leaning to the Broncos ever so slightly. Keep your eye out for last-minute team changes - Bellamy has been a tipsters nightmare this season.

Verdict – Broncos by 2

Result - Storm 48 defeated Broncos 6

New Zealand Warriors vs Gold Coast Titans – Saturday afternon – Mt Smart Stadium

I'm pretty keen on the Warriors here, and I haven't been able to say that for quite a while. Their performance against the Sharks reminded us how good they can be. I noticed, and I'm hoping they noticed. But for a few patchy periods they win that game, and if they reduce the patchiness some more they could actually be a force in this competition. Mind you, I've been saying that about the Warriors for most of this century. The Titans are missing more tackles than most in recent weeks and the Warriors are just the sort of team to take advantage of any defensive lapses. Points aplently at Mt Smart, so I'll be looking at total points overs betting unless the weather interferes. Simon Mannering plays his 250th game, and I hope the Warriors give him the result he deserves.

Verdict – Warriors by 14

Result - Warriors 27 defeated Titans 18

Wests Tigers vs Penrith Panthers – Saturday night – ANZ Stadium

Two of the younger and more entertaining teams face off but they do so at a venue neither side likes very much at all. The older and slightly less entertaining Robbie Farah and Sam McKendry return for their respective sides, albeit on the bench. The Panthers held on to beat the fast-finishing Rabbitohs last week, and it's worth noting the Tigers were pretty convincing winners over that same opponent in round 14. The Tigers found their feet late against the Storm last weekend and made it a contest, and I'm banking on them bringing that form to this game. The Panthers are a warm favourite and deservedly so, but I'm with the stripey cats. Note the battle of the fullbacks...Laurie Daley will be watching.

Verdict – Tigers by 2

Result - Tigers 34 defeated Panthers 26

Cronulla Sharks vs Parramatta Eels – Saturday night – Southern Cross Group Stadium

It's been a while since either of these sides lost, and while the Sharks sit atop the NRL ladder the Eels are somewhere near the bottom...of my NRL ladder at least. The Sharks last four wins have all been by narrow margins, but winning is winning and they haven't forgotten how to win just yet. The Eels seem desperate to get Semi back for this game, but he's going to leave a warm Fiji and head straight to a cold night at Cronulla. I'm not sure that's such a good idea if Semi is thinking of walking away from his contract. These evening fixtures at Cronulla are often low-scoring affairs, and with that in mind I'll tip the wise old heads of Ennis, Maloney, Lewis and Gallen to get the home side over the line.

Verdict – Sharks by 4

Result - Sharks 34 defeated Eels 24

Canberra Raiders vs Newcastle Knights – Sunday afternoon – GIO Stadium

I have two things to say about this game. The first thing is that the Raiders have a rich history of losing when everyone expects them to win. The second thing is that none of you will be concerned about the first thing I said about this game...and neither am I.

Verdict – Raiders by 38

Result - Raiders 29 defeated Knights 25

South Sydney Rabbitohs vs North Queensland Cowboys – Sunday afternoon – Barlow Park

A brave decision by the Bunnies to take this game to Cairns, although they have won two from three in North North Queensland. The Cowboys have played seven games at home this season and their lowest total in all those games was 19 points when they beat the Broncos by a field goal. In their other six games at home they've averaged 38 points. One of those games was against the Bunnies when they scored 44 points. Barlow Park isn't Smiley Stadium, but near enough is good enough, and the Cowboys are good enough.

Verdict – Cowboys by 14

Result - Cowboys 20 defeated Rabbitohs 0

Manly Sea Eagles vs St George Illawarra Dragons – Monday night – Brookvale Oval

The Dragons scored 30 points against the Knights in Newcastle while the Sea Eagles scored 26 points against the Cowboys in Townsville. I suspect the second game is a stronger form line. Couple that with the home ground advantage and we're doing the Eagle Rock.

Verdict – Sea Eagles by 2

Result - Sea Eagles 36 defeated Dragons 6

Wally Lewis - round seventeen selections (in bold)

Note: tips from Wally will be published on Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.

  • Roosters vs BULLDOGS
  • BRONCOS vs Storm
  • WARRIORS vs Titans
  • Tigers vs PANTHERS
  • SHARKS vs Eels
  • RAIDERS vs Knights
  • Rabbitohs vs COWBOYS
  • SEA EAGLES vs Dragons

For the on the couch comp Manly

Dragonsfan4ever's picture

Hello, my tips this week are:

Roosters by 1- Roosters to upset the Bulldogs at extra time here.

Broncos by 1- Broncos to bounce back from the heavy defeat of the hands of the Bulldogs in an absolute thriller.

Warriors by 16- Warriors to get a big win over the Titans in this one.

Panthers by 10- Panthers will be too good in this one.

Sharks by 6- Sharks to get the club record of 12 straight victories in this one in what should be an absolute belter of a game. Eels will really give it to the Sharkies.

Raiders by 20- Raiders to smash Newcastle here.

Cowboys by 8- The Rabbitohs will have plenty of heart in this one. They'll bounce back, but not in this game. Cowboys will prove to be too good for the Rabbitohs in this one.

And finally... the mighty Dragons by 2- The Dragons to just get the win in this one. It'll be a scrappy game but Dragons to just come out on top.

Awesome. That's done. Good luck with your teams this week. BigPete and Seaeagle47, good luck with Manly this week against the Dragons. Ypu'll come close, but not close enough for victory. Cheers!!!!!!!!

newbie from perth's picture

Hi everyone,

WOW! A perfect round last week. Has the Universe gone completely mad? Not like me to pick the card! Pretty sure it’ll be short-lived though. But hey, I’ll try my best as I always do. But just like my beloved Roosters, sometimes your best just ain’t good enough. Here’s hoping anyway…

Bulldogs - Yeah, my beautiful boys have a pretty good record against the Doggies but that was when we were playing decent footy. Still can’t work out why we’re such rubbish this year (well I sort of know why) and even though the effort against the Warriors was OK and we’re getting Pearce back, based on what we’ve been doing lately as a whole, I’d have to think the Doggies will take care of this one Thursday night. As I’ve said before, more than happy to sacrifice a point should a miracle happen.

Storm - This is a tough one for me. The Broncos got smacked last week and they’ve only won one from the last five. How are they clear favourites in this game? Do the bookies know something we don’t or are they trying to attract some MUG money? Last week the Storm had an awesome first half but how they let the Tigers back into the contest has me worried. Then again, we all know not to underestimate those Storm Troopers don’t we? Storm for me.

Warriors - The way the Warriors fought out last week against the Sharks and only losing it in golden point has me liking them a lot this week. Have they “turned the corner” I wonder. Yeah, as our mate JR would say … Peow! Peow!

Tigers - Geez, the Tigers almost won last week and the Panthers almost lost. How’s a newbie supposed to read the form? Mama Mia, here we go again … What the hell, might toss a coin in this one. Oh look, it came up Tigers!

Sharks - Newbie thinks the Sharks current winning streak of 11 games in a row might move out to 12 this weekend. They just keep getting the job done don’t they? While I don’t mind the Slippery Ones, I reckon the Sharks will have the edge.

Raiders - I see some of the corporates (bookies) have the line at around +24.5 for the Knights. That might be worth putting a lazy 10 or 20 on if I can get $1.90 or thereabouts over here on the TAB. Don’t get me wrong, the Green Machine should win this one but the Knights might just make a contest of it considering their effort last week against the Dragons.

Cowboys - Barlow Park? The Rabbitohs have chosen to play a “home” game in Cairns? What the? Playing a home game in Perth I can understand. Neutral territory and it highlights this wonderful game to possible converts, but Cairns? Seriously, isn’t Cairns full of Queenslanders who will more than likely be rooting (get your mind out of the gutter people) for the Cows? Yeah, this is an easy one for me to pick even if you take the form factor out of the equation. Cowboys for me.

Manly - The Sea Eagles had a bit of a go at the Cowboys last week and they’re playing at Brookvale (although it’s not the “house of pain” it once was). From a betting perspective, the Dragons have only won one of their past 10 games as an away underdog and I see that they are indeed “away underdogs” this week. Based on these observations I’m gonna tip the Boys from Brookie.

OK kids, good luck with your tipping and may your team win by 40 points! Cheers.

P.S. If a vacuum cleaner really sucks, is that good or bad? Hmmm…

LAST ONE ON THE COUCH
Coach, can you pencil the Raiders in for me this week? Whatever the reason for being offline, take it easy. Thanks mate…

Here we go,
Dogs by 8, too good for the chooks,

Warriors by 2, should be a good close game.
Tigers by 1, this is my upset for the round, toss of a coin job.
Sharks by 14, on a roll and too good for embattled eels.
Raiders by 24, way too good for the knights.
Cowboys by 10, I'm hoping they improve on last weeks performance.
Eagles by 8

..................................................................Hi there Coach Raiders this week please.

Fortress eagle's picture

Well I'm back but only for a brief time thankyou big Pete and mark ashford for your kind words your both champions . I guess I was missed by some and not by others. Firstly I would like to say how proud I was with the boys in Townsville to have lost 6 on the trot and down 18-4 and to come back and lead with 15 to go I thought this could be a famouse win but it wasn't to be a dud call by the inept and woefull refs denied us a fair try I mean where was the knock on dear oh dear. I was listening to mmm and Andrew johns and sterling said it was a dud call I mean there was the moment a ref deciding a game what a joke. But with there backs against the wall they showed guts and determination that has made my great club famouse never say die attitude with all the haters and critics the defied the odds and made it a real contest well done boys now for the win this week to break the streak and go on a winning run if we had won the last 2 games and we should of beaten Penrith and if not for a gronk of a ref the cowgirls would of been cooked as well. The state of origin look the refs were bad we all know that but the queenslanders always find a way to win sad bout all the critics bashing the blues I mean phil Gould u should be ashamed of yourself can someone please duck tape him and shut him up what a fool you are phil him and that other goat Alan Jones on the radio are the most boring and repolisive d- heads I have ever heard fair dinkum no well done to Queensland I guess we really now need to blood younger players pass the torch to stop the misery. My tips for this round.

The broncos

The bulldogs

The panthers

The raiders

The warriors

The sharks

The cowboys-hate to say it.

And of course left the best to last the mighty eagles to get a much needed win and crush the drag queens at the fortress .

Well sorry for the long comment big Pete we will win this week mate hopefully a winning run and mark A don't worry your broncos will come good with a win over the dirty cheats the storm.

Must go now hope to come back oneday in the future take care and as I always say go the mighty sea eaglesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Ps. Forgot someone the rocket Ryan good to hear your in full voice mate don't blast off yet we are all in for a dramatic finish to what has been a bizarre year so far.

Cheers everyone.

Hope all is well with you Fortress. R u ok mate.
We've missed your comments and interstate rivalry.
Qld is Qld - Fortress, but there a couple of our posting tippers who are the genuine Good Bloke type mate.
Each to their own and feelings. But deep down you see their real love for league or sport show out, when they know they they cross the line or border or to even back against their own favoured team. Much like I did last week and got 7 out of 7 as well. Thinker and Coach thought I was going to join them, on The Cooches Couch.
Yes mate Cooch and Wal are there already!

Wherever u r Fortress and whatever u r doing - keep well and keep in front of the 8 Ball Bro.

Sheeez!!! Semi has now been charged with 3 counts of assault against his missus! Detectives arrested him straight off the plane. This footballing story has more twists and turns than Philip Island! I hope everyone remembers that nothing has been proven, and Semi has a right to innocence. Unfortunately a lot of the time, it doesn’t matter if the player is innocent or not. The damage to their reputation has already been done just with the allegations. Fingers crossed for Eels fans that this turns out to be a money grab by an angry ex.

On the other hand, if it is proven to be true, no punishment is too harsh for a wife beater.

Rocket Ryan's picture

Pizza boy did you slip and hit your head at suncorp that night manly got pasted by the broncos i have had the SES out looking for you.

Fortress eagle's picture

No rocket I'm fine look no disgrace in losing to the broncos but it's when you lose to dunce sides with half the ability that hurts. And u know in your heart of hearts we should of beaten the panthers and cowgirls last two games giving up 20 points to Penrith than a great comeback against the cows only to be duded by the ref where was the dammed knock on why didn't he go to the bunker yes another game where the refs have the final say, every commantator said it was a try we score we win and both those teams touted title contenders, I'm proud of em they showed heart and we will smack down the drag queens Monday note, and a very good draw it's not over yet lete tell you , anyways I have also picked your mob to win this week they will be very hungry and the panthers may cop it as well . Congrats on origin win but Daley needs to go and the disgracefull gronks bagging the blues both games were very close and the blues could be holding the trophy it was a great series maybe they should appauld. The great effort instead of criticising phil Gould is a first rate pig disgusting he has no respect for anyone but himself . I have to say Kevin Walters was a gallant winner spoke highly of the blues and said that they are not far off maybe the naw people could learn a thing or two about humility. Anyway that's my say rocket I'm off to work than taking the mrs to a movie tonite it's called the drag queens go marching out lol.

And as I always say go the mighty sea eaglessssssssssss

Love your Manly passion.

Rocket I think our friend Coach has taken my advice and come to beautiful sunny QLD for a holiday.
Lots of sunshine, worlds best beaches, great seafood, worlds friendliest people, worlds best RL teams and so on.
You watch Rocket he will be a better person when he comes back.
Just gotta get BigPete & Fortress up here and who knows.....

Tailspin's picture

Ha Ha, that's piss funny Thinker, Coach/ Jamie taken some time off to have a good hard think about himself.

mark ashford's picture

Yes Thinker that's a classic. Sorry I missed it earlier. With all the knowledge re the Panthers could just be Jamie.
BUT Jamie is supposed to be going to super league does that mean Coach won't be back?
Don't think so.
OR internet is world wide will Jamie/Coach be posting from the UK
Come on Coach declare yourself.
Then again easy to point the finger when Coach isn't here.

mark ashford's picture

Bronco supporters gonna need you all here tonight.
Tough ask for the boys Storm are on fire.
Hard for me as Storm are my third team after Cowboys.
I think our defence/attack is missing Jack Reed on the left.
Sorry but don't rate Maranta and no Thaiday.
Gunna be a real grind but the Broncs to prevail (they must) by 2

tigerholic's picture

How can Radradra be able to play this weekend, SKD was stood down pending charges????

mark ashford's picture

Hi Tiger yes SKD was stood down then charges by his x were withdrawn.
Possibly money changed hands?
A few other players have been charged and either stood down or sacked.
Don't wish to preempt the legal system but perhaps where there is smoke there is fire.
Any violence against women is totally unacceptable. If it's not working then just walk away.
Go to a bikies pub, pick a fight and get the shit kicked out of you OR
Go to a mates or a motel and cool down.
If you hit a woman then you are nothing more than a cowardly bully and deserve whatever you get.
There is NO EXCUSE for domestic violence.

Steel Panther's picture

Melbourne absolutely clinical tonight. The Broncos are being embarrassed again!!

Baggy_Gee's picture

Shattered that I let my head over think tonight. I was with Melbourne all the way and then figured that McCollough being back would help them at home. But I am disgusted with the fans streaming out of the ground with 15 minutes to go. You follow your team through the good and the bad and hang around to give the BOYS a bit of support after a thrashing. Nothing hurts more than no one at the ground after losing, piss poor effort from the Bronco's fans.

Rocket Ryan's picture

We were ordinary last night need to not panic its never as good as it seems it's never as bad as it seems.

Allthough i am beginning to think that I am a blues supporter as in losing all the time.

fortress eagle's picture

mark a im shocked at the scoreline between the broncs and the cheasts from melbourne, not shocked that the storm won cause it was always going to be a close match but the score is what shocked me.the broncos need to address there defensive pattern which was on song a month ago i beleive bennettt will address this and you will see a different broncos next week.tals of the storm been premereship favs is too early to predict still lots of twists and turns before this year is over chin up mate they will come good for you.

im off to vote soon hopeing labour wins the election though im wanting tony abbott to hang on to his seat cause his pledged to help the fortress look like a colossium hope he sticks to his word after all he is a mad eagles fan but with politicians you just never know

big hello to my partner in crime big pete cant wait for monday night just to get the winning feeling again will be outn there cheering the boys home to victory.

have a great weekend everyone and last but not least go the mighty sea eaglesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

fortress eagle's picture

rocket a word of advice you supprt yout team through thick and thib we all wanna win all the time but thats not always going to happen u gett he good times and the bad times lookm the broncos were bad last night the storm were good but this year is not over yet, bennett will put a rocket up there bums and i wouldnt wanna be playing them next week.

look at my team 7 straifght lossess from this great club but i stick with them hoping theyn will come good there is a saying that with every loss a win comes closer monday night the boys have a chance to win and by sticking with them it would of been worth it.

there a people on this site that bag my club out not respecting the great records the guts the determination they have shown over the years by hatred jelousy and accross the board a disgusting dislike of them but if you ask the major stars of all the teams they respect and have great admiration for the club its the jokes that have no idea about my club its history its standing as the greatest club in the modern eara only rivalled in my mind bu the broncos and the storm with the bulldogs and the eels not far behind as well.when u get someone on hear that supports a team that has won one comp and he reckons that bearts 9 titles winning in every decade 16 out of 17 finals appperances in the last 2 decades the greatest winning margin murdering and crushing the storm 40 blot.winninfg 4 titles in the seventies 2 times runner up and been inn the finals the whole decade 3 straight grand finals in the ninties winning one and 2 tiitles within 4 years latley and where can u compare.but i guess thisd person has this deep seated hatred towards my team and he knows who he is one of the resons i didnt want to come back here was beacause this person thinks he owns this site and he trys to manipulat the others on here making me out to be the bad person because he already knows he will get the vote over me because one imm a manly supporter, two i stand up for myself.three his club has forever winged and whided about there losses to the eagles in finals not giving an ounce of credit to my club for thrashing his bunch of no hopers.i love been on here everyone has an opioion but wheren u get someone that has bo idea about the game no idea of thwee word respect no idea of what it means to fo;ow a team that every second person hates expect for the supporters that fo;;ow the club themselvers them u get a person who has no life pretend tp be nice gets the vote no matter what he says because alreasy he knowas he wi;ll wi. but let me tell him if he was to give me 100 billion dollars 100 billion hiouses all the gold all the dimonds all the riches of the world i would never ever ever ever respect him ever this man this the only person i disliker on this site.but im back for good weather he likes it or not andf im never going to chang or to be silicend by a hypercritwe of the worst type.

and you know who you are just a clue they won the comp last year.
so now that is my long and hounest opinion take care everyone.and gp the mighty sea eaglesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

tigerholic's picture

Well, Well, Well, how do you feel rocket, that was a thrashing of the purest kind, 48-6, did you here the score Rocker 48-6.

I have a boss at work who is a mad keen Brisbane fan and a mad keen Queenslander who is not scared to let me know after each win, I am so disappointed that he is away over seas, but let me repeat that losing score just for my boss and Rocket, and Mark Ashford and Broncoswimmer 48-6

Just one last comment, Domestic Violence against women is nothing but a shameful act, regardless of what status Semi has in our game, until he is cleared he needs to be stood down to show that the NRL does not condone violence against women, if he is found not guilty then he can come back, until then he needs to be semi-retired.

Go the Tigers tonight.

christine's picture

Johnny Ray If your reading this I have to say I never took you to be a quitter you have always been larger than life when you where on this site & it's a shame to see you give up now the way you have so don't be a fool grow a pair & come back you are missed on this site bro ...

christine's picture

I also have to say in regards to my previous comment it is coming from all of us not just me so think about resurfacing & at least letting us know your around ...

Rocket Ryan's picture

Well said christine exactly what is required

BigPeteBx's picture

You keep well Fortress - yes Manly need plenty of $$$$'s injected into Brookie. Both T. Abbott and M. Baird are supposedly Manly supporters. However, Local Govt Minister P. Toole is St George and I know that well, as he is the State Member for Bathurst.
But in my eyes with Council mergers taking place, it would be best that Manly/Brookvale get out of Warringah Shire, if that is the one I think they are in. Their Council like a few, are digging as much gold as they can and charge MWRLFC through the the nose, like the price of poison. Little wonder some clubs take matches away from their home grounds, as was also commented on at this Thinker site when Manly made the trip to Brisbane. Double headers are good, it gives the paying customer a bit more of an option and to highlight their decision to attend. It gets more bums on seats, and that is what is meant to be happening in sport and NRL, so it pays all round. Not just tv rights to the corporate owners.
Never fear, Manly will get a couple of good extra's up their sleeves and will make it difficult for some teams in the last final stages of this season. More so those, who'll need to win to make The 8.

Cheers and another Beer- Big Pete

Hello Mark A - I know how you feel when you lose by a couple of points. But last night was a terrible. I picked BRONCOS to win by 2, as I felt the match would be close. Bugger me, Storm caught a big cloud and theoretically let it piss down on Broncs. I was going for the clean sweep this week.

Moon Man Rocket R, knows and even makes the wisecrack remark that he feels he is a NSW Blue, in a manner of losing.

Fortress - doesnt matter here like anywhere, what upsets us in comments. Take it, like us all and keep on keeping on mate. The time will come when the stirrers will crawl in their holes.
Remember, when at the top, there is only one way and that is backwards. At present Trent knows the way forward with a fully fit team, which we dont have and if it means we have to ditch underperforming players, then we have to do it. Some players best are in the past and MWRLFC doesnt run a lonely hearts club over there at Brookvale.

As for The Thugs of the game and violence - get rid of them.
There's no place for it. Get them into a boxing ring - Bareknuckles and see how they go. To think I thought The Ragheads treated women like a lump of meat.....grrrrrr!!!!

Cheers Bro's - Big Pete

Fortress I feel your pain mate. Manly have had a tough time of it this year with so many injuries, changing coaches etc.
They have been a champion team and will be again.
I've picked them Monday to beat the Dragons and think they will.
"a" is dirty on Manly because of a couple of decisions that went against the Cows in the final series a couple of years ago. Wasn't Manly's fault, blame the refs but there you go.
I'm glad you're back here for some interstate balance.

Broncos were flogged last night by a superior team. No excuses.
Wayne has some work to do if they are to be in the finals.

Christine love your call to JR we need him back here.

Tigerholic your guys are going well. 20 mins to go and up by 14.

BigPete always a pleasure mate. Went fishing today got a heap of Whiting....beautiful day.
Helped ease the pain of the Broncos thrashing.

Wow Penrith score from a 3 metre forward pass with the Touchy screaming? What is wrong with these refs?
Tigers to win anyway but for and against may just decide the finals.

Big Pete, we'll see what happens. But I think it'll be one of those games where it's a sloppy game with the winner winning ugly.

Hey dragons fan talk about your own team they may be sloppy and inept so don't bring my team down to the level of yours.

If we play to our ability we should seed the drag queens and that over rated gronk Marshall back where they belong .

One more thing before I go if semi radradra has abused his ex wife than he should be stood down and punished non of this I have let my team mates down I mean what on earth is brad Arthur trying to say it's ok to bash women but u can play is he serious thugs low life's like this should never play again the nrl has to take a tough stance or we are condoning the actions of these cowards ,yes he hasn't been found guilty and yes he is a great talent but please no player is bigger than the game as some players like to think so and the media has a lot to blame,I mean if they fart they want to tell us about it ,the game is becoming a farce, I really hope were not following in the footsteps of that inept and panzy afl of Melbourne ariel ping pong crap.league is the better game but the way we are heading it won't be long before that tripe the afl serve up overtakes us god help us.

Cheers and go the mighty sea eaglessssssssssssssssssssssssss
