I went back through the archives trying to find the last time I got an Origin selection wrong. It was game three in 2009, and in typical fashion it was the last Origin game I attended. That was the infamous 'Stillnox' game (argh...such memories). Anyway I'm obviously pretty good at this Origin caper so let this be a warning. If you don't want to know the result already...look away now!!!

It's 'carbon footprint' round in the NRL this weekend. The three Queensland teams are playing interstate, two NSW teams are playing in Queensland, the Warriors are borrowing a space shuttle to get their team to Perth, and we've also got games in Melbourne, Canberra and Darwin.

And so it goes. The series is on the line for the defending champions on their spiritual turf. There's been controversies, off-field distractions and intense weather cells in cups of tea. And to top it all off we now have a new villian for the local crowd to boo every time the NSW captain tucks the ball under his arm. Welcome to the pleasuredome sportsfans.

Take that as a warning NRL players. The recent behaviour displayed by Paul Gallen will not be tolerated. That's why he was suspended for a week; the same suspension Sam Thaiday got for lightly tugging on the shirt of a referee. He's back this weekend and so am I, with another round of near-perfect tipping for you all.
