Good first half from the aussies, the handicap went to -6.5 points before kick off so I am sitting pretty barring a 2nd half collapse!
Wheres coach suprised he hasnt commented on this thread?

Well done GaryChesterUK...glad I didn't talk you out of it :-)
When the Kangaroos click they click click click.
And is Matt Gillett the best forward in the game at the moment? Gosh he must be close.
Submitted by christine on
All I can say is in Canberra the white stuff is usually snow ...
Submitted by GaryChesterUK on
Gillett is very good yeah, Thurston was amazing first half though bloody hell the Cowboys have missed him recently

Yeah Thruston will be the difference next week

You often get players slotting into interesting positions during the International Round, but this one has to be my favourite.
Kane Evans, the Roosters prop forward, named on the wing for Fiji. Surely Fiji can find a winger. It's what Fiji does.
Submitted by pabdul on
cmon thinker your on the turps again i think their names are in alphabetical order
Submitted by The Thinker on
That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever seen and the dumbest thing I've ever said. It was pretty late and I was tired, but I probably hadn't been drinking enough.
So because they are alphabetically listed, Vunivali is 19th man. It's weird.
Submitted by pabdul on
i presume its the second dumbest think youve said if your married.
maybe you should have a few more and we can call you the drinker
Submitted by The Thinker on
Not a bad idea actually....I spent 15 minutes looking at that Fiji line-up trying to make sense of it, and ten minutes trying to work out why Evans on a wing could be a good idea.....it never occurred to me that they were listed alphabetically.
Submitted by pabdul on
i thought the same but when i saw their best wingers on the bench montoya at half and korosau on the other wing this cant be right
but even in true fijian style uatae name is out of sequence. i really need to get a life.

Bloody hell a, I hope that is the wrong news about JT, that will suck big time for Cowboys and QLD

Padbul I was in western Sydney recently and a bit hungry.
I saw a sign saying achmed abdul mohammed pizza.
Thinking it must be something like a supreme I went in and ordered the name on the front.
I was told "no they're the owners" would you like a neopolitana or a capricosa or an americana etc.
I left looking for a Pizza Hut.
Submitted by pabdul on
good call ....the pizza hut had "dougie"
achmed Mohammed had "doggies"
Submitted by mark ashford on
Yeah I was a bit worried "doughie" was nowhere in sight.
Just heaps of guys with shaved heads and unkempt beards.
Lots of black clothing and invisible women.
Grabbed a cab and went back to Bondi for a toastie and a latte.
Took the same cab to the airport and back to QLD.
Not sure if I'm living in the same country anymore.

Paddy last year I was invited to a site in Currumbin (QLD) where there was a push on for a Mosque.
When I got there I saw a little tower had been built and a blacked robed guy was shouting Aayyiinng Ayyiinngg and so on.
I climbed up the tower shoved him off and started singing...ground control to major tom your circuit's dead is there something wrong can you hear me major tom can you hear me major tom?
Several black robed, bearded guys dragged me down but I had won the crowd. Do you think I should apply for #9's the voice?

I was thinking of going with "A land down under" you know where women roar and men thunder.
We are lucky to have great women and men in this country.
Submitted by mark ashford on
Can you hear the thunder?
Whoops just read the lyrics
It's where women glow and men plunder
Doesn't sound like a song that promotes men
The only good thing is a refer to Vegemite
And people want this to be our National Anthem?

Men At Work Lyrics
Overview / Lyrics (see all) / Photos / Videos / News
Travelling in a fried-out Kombi
On a hippie trail head full of zombie
I met a strange lady, she made me nervous
She took me in and gave me breakfast
And she said, "Do you come from a land down under?
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover"
Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscle
I said, "Do ya speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich
And he said, "I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover", yeah
Lying in a den in Bombay
With a slack jaw and not much to say
I said to the man, "Are you trying to tempt me?
Because I come from the land of plenty."
And he said, "Oh, you come from a land down under?"
(Oh yeah, yeah)
"Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?"
(Oh)
"You better run, you better take cover"
'Cause we are livin' in a land down under
Where women glow and men plunder
(Yeah)
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
(Thunder)
You better run, you better take cover
Livin' in a land down under
Where women glow and men plunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
(Ooh yeah)
Then I run and then I take cover
(Yeah)
We are livin' in a land down under
Where women glow and men plunder
Can't you, can't you hear the thunder?
Then I run then I take cover
Livin' in a land down under
(Livin' in a land down under)

But I'm floating in a most peculiar way
and the stars look very different today
Here am I floating in a tin can
Far above the world
planet earth is blue
and there's nothing I can do
Planet earth may be blue
But it's time I supported the Maroons

Hi Chris
Good to see you still on here after the Country/City game.
Being a Qlder the result didn't mean all that much to me but I watched the game and was impressed with the intensity of both teams.
With regard to the cocaine charges well I guess the clubs, the police and the NRL will sort it all out.
Hope you are feeling ok and look forward to your tips for our next round of club games
cheers mate...keep well
mark

Mark This is not the first time titans have been in this situation but last time there were a lot more players involved & seeing as the nrl owns the titans they have to do more than what they have so far I mean proctor is supposed to be a marque signing for them so he hasn't just put shame on the club but he has put shame on the nrl which owns the club he plays for which is no different to ben barba , more has to be done & skd just like todd carney how many chances do you give one person ???

Good idea Mark that's a really good song Mark
