Jordan Rapana couldn't beat Nightingale to the wing spot either.
The Kiwis can't be taking that game too seriously.

Oh, he's on the other wing. Gotcha.

BJ Leiua not selected for New Zealand- ?!!
Yeah yeah wiki says he's Samoan, although why was he selected to be part of the 2010 New Zealand Four Nations squad?
Obviously not good enough to oust those incumbents.
Submitted by Baggy_Gee on
And all those post should categorically expound to the advocates of incumbency how bad it is for the game, at all levels, club, state, and international. Nice to see some of the Australian based players picked for Scotland are having great seasons to justify selection.

Peter Wallace was part of the Scottish 2013 World Cup team that had two wins including Tonga, a draw, and a loss to NZ.
His form is far and away ahead of 2013, but where is his name?
Couldn't have done anymore last time.
Where's the bloody incumbency now?
Submitted by Coach Potato on
#Is Expound a Brexit thing?
#Before Thinker pounces on Wallace, neither Euan Aitkin, Lachlan Coote, Luke Douglas nor Kane Linnett declared they were unavailable to be a Kangaroo because they were Scottish.
Submitted by Coach Potato on
James Tamou, you are injured and so unavailable to be selected right?
Submitted by Coach Potato on
They didn't just outrightly select Klemmer and Cordner in front of you? Surely not.
Looks like they did.
Submitted by Coach Potato on
Tamou, you're a bloody incumbent from the ANZAC day test which included Parker and Gallen who have both retired. Why aren't you there?
The world's just gone mad.
Donald Trump. Your odds are getting shorter.
Submitted by Baggy_Gee on
Lol, maybe the don is the mystery Aussie NRL selector.
Submitted by Baggy_Gee on
Just interested in the definition of best and fairest, david Klemmer for the Doggies. Best i'll give you, he was a beast, but fairest????????????? Not sure on his personal penalty count this year.

Only a minute few adding any spirit to the off-season ramblings.
Pretty woeful everyone else.
4 nations just around the corner.
People really need six months rest from the keyboard? Have a bloody good look at yourselves I reckon.

There won't be many people here until next season Coach. That's okay.
I'll be back before and after the Four Nations.
Submitted by Baggy_Gee on
There is the four nations on? That's just like the Commonwealth games, designed to stroke the ego of Australia. Bring on Aus vs World 17 and see how it goes.

Caulfield Cup is only 48 hours away and not a murmur so I can't think 2016 is anything but a downer compared to the 2015 pages.
Ironic that creating any interest would be akin to flogging a dead horse.
An Open Letter To The Sports FaNaTiC,
So your footy tipping tAllY wasn't exactly ExOsPhErIc this year, no matter. 2016 probably seems like a BiG mEmOrY already.
2017 you can still Go DrEaMiNg of tipping glory, and continue your ReAl LoVe-hate relationship with myself and others on this page. Not that my theories and number crunching holds a candle to the great Sir IsAaC nEwToN but it does make people think, and that's never a bad thing. Will Gary from UK be back and why is there a PrEfErMeNt to be regarded a Brit rather than English, Irish, Welsh or ScOtTiSh?
Will encoding half the field expose the winner, quinella, exacta, and trifecta? Or none of the above? The chances are good for both sides of the fence.

- Caulfield Cup winner? Will see.

Would Jarryd Hayne be in the Australian team, had he not turned his back on the Southern Cross?
He was always the player you had to have in your team, didn't matter where, just had to be somewhere.

People are still here just not necessarily commenting. Would be interested to hear anyone's thoughts on Nick Kyrgios and his latest outburst. Not the kinda person you'd want representing your country I don't think.
@Newbie if your still around....are you making it to the Test match tomorrow? Reports in the media here this week shows Perth basking in some warm sunny weather. Quite the opposite to what we have in Auckland. So far the wettest spring I can ever remember.....

Yes Kyrigos is an idiot
Submitted by Baggy_Gee on
The time it take to type his name is more time than I wish to give him. Everyone know how I feel about Benny's son, imagine if you could me absolute hatred for what that clown did under the Australia flag. You walk onto the field/court/race track/diving board/where ever you compete, you give it 100% unless your carrying a minor injury, then your give it 100 f*&^ng %. If you are that out of sorts, withdraw, carrying a serious injury or your team is garuntteed a place in the finals, rest and recover mentally and physically, you don't go out and make a mockery of the COUNTRY you represent or your opponent. If that guy had started smashing the ball at the Australian guy when he wasn't looking I wouldn't of condemned him for it. He's out there, ready for a huge game, and you have to waste your time playing with a toddler. He has disrespected himself. his country, his opponent, and his sport. 1 year off no appeal.

Looks like those 2 reserves are in Coach, 14 (12) and 16 (16) both scratched.

Nick Kyrgios is a dead set wanker, I hope no one pays to see him in action anymore, and yes 1 year suspension would suit the crime. He is in the same category as that other wanker Mundine.
Anyway go the Aussies to win, I hope.

I fail to understand how he thinks his public displays can be mended electronically. How going on a mid-court rant can be all made good with a few words on Twitter ?
Make a fool of yourself in public, you should at least have the courage to apologise in public.
What's with the one year thing?
Do people think he'll be all grown up in 12 months?
Kick him out, make him apply for a hundred jobs. With no qualifications behind him, let's see what he thinks of the real world. That would be my sentence.
Submitted by Baggy_Gee on
It must have been no one in Australia was talking about him for 5 seconds that lead to his meltdown. I would expect that from my 4 year old. And who is this Mundine person?

Greetings Test fans.
It's great to see the narrowing of the gap between the Kangaroos and the Kiwis. It wasn't that long ago I was mocked relentlessly for suggesting we would see a day where they'd be as good as the locals. They aren't quite there (from a depth point of view), but they aren't far away.
Bromwich, Waerea-Hargreaves and Taumalolo in the middle for the Kiwis can make a game of this.
And for the Caulfield Cup today....I'm leaning toward Scottish and at fair odds....Sir John Hawkwood. Both should be near enough to the front as they reach the straight and both should give a kick.

Mansour off getting married, Woods off getting married, the things people will do to get some time off before the preseason.

Moylan must be off getting married too

Hello Coach - yes life is a little quiet after general NRL season.
Some of us are about and haven't hibernated to a cave.
Not a good idea about taking Bathurst 1000 from the mountain.
It has loads of space for campers, a great track, all services and most of the access roads are now bitumen. The outlook from the top of the mountain is fantastic. Rain held out for race weekend. It did rain on the Wednesday night prior and I felt for the campers and all the rain that would have flowed.
It is very concerning with future of Holden v Ford with the plants heading or gone offshore. Most of it is taken on sales and no one gives a bugger about where the manufacturers are.
Heading your way in three weeks mate. 50th on at Kingswood. Yes R.I.P. Ted Bullpitt.
Keep well Coach and all others. I'm looking in to see who is about or gone to the dogs oops races.

Hello Baggy Gee -
I would take it the reference is to Anthony (The Mouth) Mundine. Another of those spruiking has to be seen and heard prima donnas.
Keep well - Big Pete

Totally agree with you there Tailspin on that with Kyrgios.
Gives our sporting nation a bloody bad name and image.
Kick him out - how many chances does he need.
Has Tomic learnt his lesson yet?
Kangaroos won tonight and a good warm up for Four Nations.
Send Kyrgios to play in Middle East. Teach him some respect.
Change the tennis balls to hand grenades and we'll see how smart and sharp he is. Bloody low life and his antics on court. Deadset flip!!!
Piss him off our tv screens and out of newspapers. We are paying him a compliment by putting up with his crap.

Aaah - so Miss Thinker gave you a good rib cage lesson there did she Thinker. Need to be careful when boxing around there mate.
Keep well mate and enjoy the off season and keyboard wrist overuse syndrome. Had another Great Race Week here.

Why was Johnson continually forced to link in with Proctor playing out in the centre's when it should have been going through the hands to Kenny Dowall onto Rapana?
You could point the finger at Midweek, but if memory serves me, he was also constantly out there in the Grand Final, stymie-ing attacking moves than anything else.
NZ are a big chance next time. Just need to sack Proctor.
Submitted by Coach Potato on
Sorry Kidwell, they wanted me to call you Midweek !?!
Submitted by Steel Panther on
I'm more critical of Johnson who was again poor. SKD probably had one of his worst games in a black shirt. JWH again failed on the biggest stage. I thought the Kangaroos were average at best yet easy winners and the score wasn't quite a true reflection of the game. NZ didn't even fire a shot in the 2nd half. Plenty of room for improvement that's for sure.
Submitted by Coach Potato on
If only it was 8 years suspension.
Submitted by The Thinker on
For those who care about such things, ye olde Thinker is heading to Melbourne for the Cox Plate.
Winx vs Hartnell....could be quite the contest this one.
Submitted by Coach Potato on
# Wont be a contest.
Hartnell is 8 lengths better than last year, and the field has wised up to the sneaky rails runs trick. Winx will have to come round like everyone else. Those two things turn the tables Hartnell's way.
# Good luck to Benji Marshall, and to all the Broncos fans out there - suck friggin shit!! #YouGotHim
Submitted by Baggy_Gee on
I see the Benji move as what I wanted our acquisition of Watmough to be. An older experienced head to help guide the young'uns through and sharpen their game. Watmough was just a trouble maker on the field and hopeless in looking after the younger BOYS. Benji might be what Hunt and Milford need to become half decent halves pairing.
Submitted by The Thinker on
Benji is good with the media too.
Makes sense.
Submitted by Coach Potato on
Just that he is as much a has-been of a footy player as Mundine never-was a boxer.

You gotta be joking NRL.
This was not in the top 10 tries of 2016?
It was the most sublime, dynamic and skilful piece of play in a decade or more.
On the run at speed, kick 30 metres and land on five cent piece.
Not in your top 10 huh?
Who are we to question?

After you wake up, I have put together the four nations schedule for you, and then when it's over you can all go back to beddy-byes.
