Happy Hump day everyone. I know this is now old news and I may have missed it but what are your thoughts on Latrel joining the ranks at South Sydney? And for less pay than any other clubs offered! Does he really want to follow in the footsteps of the great GI? I for one am hoping the off season has been a little humbling for him and he will come back this year ready to play some good, hard footy! Sincere apologies if this has already been discussed and I somehow missed the discussion.

This song always seems to make me a little sad, for me, it encourages reflection and I realise I need to tattoo 'Don't sweat the small stuff' on my forehead to ensure I remember that each day. Life holds more than a few regrets for me, most are just little things I wish I had done better, and this song seems to bring that to the surface.
I also reflect on how hopeless the world seems to be these days, for example the young fella who committed suicide this week from cyber bullying (and the many many others who have gone the same way even without provocation), granted he didn't do himself any favours protesting story time from a drag queen the way he did but the backlash for his actions were disgusting with many removing their toxic comments after the news broke of his suicide, cowards.
There are so many things wrong with the world of late it's really hard to see the good, and there is good! The concert being organised for those suffering in the bushfires (and all the donations towards the cause) sounds amazing!! Some major talent coming to support Australia in it's time of need. I for one will continue to pray for rain.
Just to add my 2 cents to the political discussion, does our PM's holiday make the fires worse? Of course not, but it's not a good look is it. I don't care if that holiday was years in the making, as our nations leader, going to Hawaii during the worst fires our country has seen was a terrible lack in judgement. If I were him, I would sack my advisers as they are clearly not doing their jobs! I don't see a way through this for Scott, I will be surprised if he lasts the end of his term.

I was in a dark dingy disco when I met Athena beautiful Greek girl and we danced to this song. She called me about a week later to hang with her at her house. I gave her a kiss and it tickled when I saw her in the light she had a fine line of hair on her top lip

I really liked her and she eventually said on Saturday night my parents are away you can come over and we’ll exchange gifts. I thought okay must be a Greek tradition.Also I was running out of dark places to take her.
I turn up and she was wearing lingerie and said she was my gift. Wow I thought hiding the his and her shaving kit behind my back.
Unfortunately I failed miserably because of her moustache and she said it’s ok let’s go out.
She was a vegetarian and took me to an organic produce place to buy some root vegetables. So she’s grabbing carrots turnips yam etc then we walked to the register and she said sorry I forgot something and came back with a cucumber. I said that’s not a root vegetable? She said the way you performed last night it will be.

Good evening a, you know, the only grunge genre I feel I 'got' was Pearl Jam. That being said, your pick this week is one of their best and definitely one I enjoyed, even if I didn't understand why I enjoyed it :P

You know, it feels a little 'un-Australian' but I don't really like JBT :O I have a very good mate who loves them and he doesn't even know that! This is the first time I have said it out loud (so to speak <-- haha again!! lol) It's not that I hate it, I just actually don't get the hype? Each to their own as they say. Same as Nirvana I guess, I always felt they were overrated. The Foo Fighters on the other hand, outstanding!

It sill be interesting to see if souths do get ado car from storm & "a" i think we are the only ones left still posting so make the most of it what has happened we are st risk of loosing some of our animals to these fires & now we have lkst everyone that has posting comments i don't know what is going on & i just read about what they did to a pig in china they attached a bungee cord to it after they tied sll it's feet toughter & they threw it off a 68 storey building alive & it was sent to be slaughtered afterwards it was done as a marketing stunt ,who on earth comes up with these things it is on nine msn apparently they haven't broken any laws by doing so in china but i for one am against animal cruelty& tbat was& is cruelty doing that tk an animal i can't believe the press wod even report it in the media what haven'g enough animsls died this is just sickening i wish i never read the article in the first place sorry i even mentioned ig please please everyone don'g ever do anything cruel fo an animal it makes me sick when i hear it ...

Good morning all! My OSSOTW is from my number one band of all time. By the late 80's they were massive! Their follow up album to their biggest ever was a little disappointing for me, as was much to come after but every now and then I would find an absolute gem like this one and it remains as one of my favourites from them (though to be honest that list is lengthy lol). This is my Shane Warne story

Shane being a VIP didn’t have to check in at our hotel he would pick up his room key from concierge and go straight to his room.Because of security the envelope holding his key would only have the initials HCW on it which stood for Hotel Collection Warne.There was as always 2 keys 1 for a lady friend who would appear later.
One day I was training a newbie and Shane already checked in and his lady friend came up I gave her the envelope and the trainee said what does HCW stand for I said Hotel Collection Warne but in her case it could stand for High Class Whore.
At the end of his stay Shane came over and thanked us and said he has a promotional night as he was endorsing his own vodka and would we like to come. I said we can’t and he said free grog I said what time!
The next day I was hungover and couldn’t remember a thing.
Shane came over and asked did we enjoy the night. I told him I couldn’t remember a thing.
He said I was on fire and his favourites were He mentioned he was going to buy an Aston Martin or a Lotus I apparently said why don’t you get Prince Andrew’s favourite A 15 year old Escort.
He also asked me about his vodka and I apparently said it’s better than Mulis(Sri Lankan bowler) his made me feel terrible I just wanted to chuck.
I said I wouldn’t say that and he said you even told me the other meaning of HCW. Oh.

Wed Night Jukebox Corner
Originally I was gonna post up a somewhat “disturbing” song but decided against it. The reason is because it may offend some family members here. It’s basically a “murder ballad” from one of Australia’s most (in)famous singer/songwriters, has some in-your-face lyrics and is definitely not for the squeamish out there. It also contains a tiny bit of bad language (the “F” word is used once or twice) so I thought it might be best to leave this one out. Personally, I like this “gem” but not exactly sure why. That in itself is somewhat of a concern. Hmmm…
Instead, I’m posting this one here. Must admit I wasn’t a fan at all back in the day but my tastes, just like fine wine, have matured over the years and absolutely love this one now. Yes he was a “naughty” boy while he was with us but can’t deny his talent when he was here.
Spoilers: GM when he was with AR in W. He went a bit overboard with the teeth whitening I reckon 😁.

Not exactly sure as it was a long time ago when I jumped aboard this here train but I think what usually happens (others feel free to correct me if need be) is the Boss (aka The Thinker) will get things up and running before the regular season starts and will ask those who wish to participate to drop a comment stating same. Newbie i wasn't serious when i said van halen there are alot of bands you can name i am just coming up with some bands i think of eg sting no one else has mentioned sting as an example i for one don'g listen to music everydsy only shen i am driving music & ms don't really mix i get alot of migraines with my ms so i don't really have music on but i can join in on three discussion about certain bands just to feel normal again i suppose ...

On a diffefent note who would of thaught we would have had fires burning in september that are still burning now on australia day it has gone on far too long right through xmas they really should do more for these fireies they are the true heros in all of this so shile everyonr is having there Australia day celebrations have a toast too the true heros the fireies & everyone donate where ever you can if not money then clothes they no longer want give your old clothes to your local charity some people have nothing left & they really need it i for one am donating old clothes to charity & old sheets & 4thowels i am giving to my vet for animals who need it it all helps ...
