I see in the story below Bennett has said he's not interested in Latrelle but he is a wily old fox. Surely with the Jai Arrow deal his purse must be getting a bit empty. I know he has big Sam's money and John Sutton retiring ads a fair bit but will it match what Latrelle wants. If not where does this leave Latrelle? Can the Roosters keep him? surely that would be a bit uncomfortable for all at Bondi. With the Cowboys & Tigers out will we see him on the Gold Coast next year. This could also be uncomfortable as he is not a popular player in Queensland.

I had another look at your SOTW and persevered past the 50 second mark. Boy did I get a surprise, ended up enjoying it heaps. Just goes to show you should see things out to the end.

Yes I do enjoy Nightwish as well. Its heavy enough to keep me pumped, and the singers can actually sing and vocalise not just scream till your ears bleed. I was introduced to "operatic" metal by a friend and I am very grateful for it. For a good driving music, Dragonforce Ultra Beatdown is a great album. Forget the lyrics and the screaming and Sam and Herman ripping long solos makes time fly.

The intro was exceptional (love that driving rock) and then the singer started and I thought "Oh Yeah" but I kept watching and this really works it's a great mix of rock and I guess opera.

First up just let me say that I’m not a huge fan of Dire Straits per sé but this particular one is absolutely legendary. Beautiful, beautiful music for sure. Thanks brother.

Looking at the still shots of the scenery (presumably Scotland) reminds me of 2 things:

1. I miss my dear ol’ Ma (she was Scottish) who has since passed and the scenery reminded me of her that’s all 💖

2. Even though the scenery is of Scotland, it reminds me of Ireland as well. Very similar and my thoughts drift back to when I was back in my “Mother Land” (I’m of predominantly Irish heritage) in the mid 80s.

Dunno, I’m a pretty normal, manly sort of guy but get me watching traditional Irish & Scottish dancing and listening to Gaelic music it just brings me to tears. I know I shouldn’t admit to that but hey, it is what it is. Thank you brother… 👍

I'm the same, my father use to play live at hammersmith on vinyl and I'd fall asleep to that song as an encore. Live it's even better, so I'm all for getting teary listening to music. Music is something that seems to bring out the best in nearly everyone, we might disagree but can still recognise a very well composed and emotive song. Thanks to everyone for their songs and let's keep enjoying it till the blood starts to pump on the first Thursday of the season.

Just back from my short cruise. What a wonderful experience. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and now it's something I want to do again but for longer next time. Downside is it now competes with my SC holiday. I only have so much annual leave per year!!

You guys are right on the money music wise for me. Loved both Kamelot and Nightwish. Nightwish especially is a favourite of mine. I saw them here in Auckland shortly after Floors joined. I couldn't take my eyes off her all night. Great stage presence and boy can she sing.

Heart breaking to see so much devastation with the bush fires. We are getting hazy days here from all the smoke drifting across the Tasman. Sure hope there is some relief soon.

You may be right or wrong about the Storm only time will tell.
Don't forget they still have Cam Smith and a good roster but mainly Craig Bellamy who is IMO the best coach in the game.
