Hi all, I've been reading a lot of the comments, but haven't taken part in any, but it's amazing what you learn on this site. Now I know how to change a washer in a leaking tap. Something that I don't think I'll ever do, but interesting anyway. Thanks Mark.
Christine, hope you're feeling better. I also take those headache tablets for migraines, and they usually work if I get to them in time. Most of the time, my headaches come on at night. I dream that I've got a sore head, &, voila, I wake up with a nasty headache!
It won't be long before the discussion is about footy, & I'm really looking forward to the new season starting.

I forgot the one last step. Once you have replaced all the washers and put everything back together, you must close the lowest tap (usually out side somewhere) otherwise your water will be running everywhere when you turn your supply back on.
Newbie if you lived here I'd be happy to slip round and do it. Would also reseat your taps to ensure drip free into the future.

Hi in tesponse to your comment you posted re migraines as well as taking those tablets also have ibuphofen take at least 2 at a time of ibuphofen when tou have a migraine you actually have inflammation or swelling in your head so reduce the inflammation you reduce the pain i always do it i am becoming a bit of an expert with these handy little tips but never have paracetamol & ibuphrofen at the same time if you ars someone that gets olcers you will get a stomach olcer i strongly advise you don't do that ingact i strongly advise to everyone never have paracetmol for head aches it doesn't do anything infact it can make it worse so try next time & see how you go but don't buy the dear ibuphrofen buy the coles brand it is less than $2.00 for 24 i alwsys have multiple boxes on hand you know 6,8,12 or more you never know with these migraines see how you go with it & let me know what you think when you try it at times it does help me part of having ms for me is inflammation around my spinal cord the drug they give me when i have an jnfusion os called ocrvous it is too block inflsmmation around mg spinal cord ,just a bit more insight for you all there good to talk to gou manyana ...

I remember working on the tarmac and one of my co workers Howard Esterage said on Saturday I will be returning on an East West Airlines flight from Albury
Can you meet the aircraft but don’t tell anyone. This was strange because we didn’t unload those aircrafts but I agreed.
On the Saturday the plane arrived I’m sitting on a tug to take their luggage and down comes a group of people.
Howard thanked me and introduced me to his wife Mary and his father in law Hutton then said this is.....and before he could say I shouted Your Mad Max
and he laughed and said no Mad Mel
Mel Gibson still probably only Aussie famous but I was shocked. He just returned filming the Bounty. Howard said that his wife Mary was Mels sister and to keep it quiet as he wanted to keep it a secret. I was ok with that.

OK, you put up the wrong one but you redeemed yourself with the new one. That too, is a fine tune. Again, my dear ol’ da used to play that one a lot so I remember it well 😍.
Anyway, I start playing this video and I’m thinking to myself, “gee, that bloke looks like Johnny Cash. Wait a bit, the other bloke looks like Glen Campbell. What’s goin’ on here? The third bloke looks familiar but can’t place his name to his face.”
As JD explained at the end, it was Roger Miller. Ah, yeah, Roger Miller. Here’s me thinking Roger and Glen were just guitar players and it turns out they were damn handy on the fiddle and banjo respectively. That was a fun clip man! Thanks for that.

I know this might upset some but I’m with ya buddy except that I feel that Bon Scott was the “only” front man AC/DC had 😍. Yeah Brian has done a great job taking over and yeah, he was with the boys a long, long time (36 years) but it just doesn’t sound like AC/DC (for me at least) without Bon singing. But credit where credit’s due, Brian did a great job.

Hey Newbie....thanks for the invite to WA. If I ever get there one day they'll be two things I'll definitely do....firstly make myself known to the Thinker legend Newbie from Perth and secondly visit Bon's resting place.
If I could elaborate on your Bon thoughts. Yea they'll be no one like him but I've enjoyed Brian too. I remember my first year at high school. Up to that point I wouldn't have called myself a music enthusiast, mostly listening to Top 40 or my Mum's favourites Elvis and Glen Campbell. Then I met this kid at my new school who introduced me to Kiss and AC/DC. He lent me his Let Their Be Rock record and my first thoughts were "how bad does this guy sound" but before you know it I was hooked and this was the start of my musical journey into heavy metal. A journey I'm still on today. Tonight (for the sixth time) I'm off to see Alice Cooper who only gets better with age!!

The story goes that someone threw a chicken on stage and Alice threw it back and then the crowd supposedly ripped the chicken to shreds and killed it (obviously).
Turns out that was sorta true and sorta not. Yeah, the chicken was thrown into the crowd but not intentionally. It’d take too long to clarify but you can listen to the bass player (Dennis Dunaway) explain what really happened here:

I believe you are thinking of Ozzy Mark. Cooper's wife's name is Sheryl. I believe he did perform some questionable stage antics in the early days just for the sake of spectacle but I don't believe biting heads off live animals were among them. Ozzy Osbourne on the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if it was chickens AND bats lol.
'Brothers in Arms' was the first album ever lent to me by a school mate and I instantly loved the first three tracks. For reasons unknown, I didn't listen to the rest of the album, just those 3 songs. I must revisit that I think.

Sad thing is that this reminds me of a friend of mine from back in the day. He was an absolute KISS fanboi. Put on the makeup, went to all the concerts, had all their albums etc etc. It’s sad insofar as he’s now passed and that was so avoidable. Cut a long story short he got involved with a girl who was using, started using himself, went to Paris, used a dirty needle, contracted “that” disease and died alone. Such a shame 😰. Sorry if this isn’t the right forum to post or this upsets anyone. That was not my intention.
Anyhoo, must dash. It’s just gone 7am, I’m at work and I’m hungry. Gonna go off and make me some scrambled eggs in the microwave to go with the toast I made earlier. Yum 😋. Cheers y’all…

Not my call but can I suggest we move our SOTW to the 2020 tipping page. Makes it easier to read what is going on and enjoy the songs at the same time, just a thought.

OK this is probably when I started to take notice of JF as Newbie said "a magnificent mullet" think I had one too back then.
