Registrations for the 2026 tipping season are now open

Greetings football fans - We're back. No bigger or better than ever before, but we are back.

To our returning tipsters from last season, welcome back! If your tipster name displays on the 2025 season scoreboard on this page, then you've already been pre-registered for this season. You don't have to let me know you are participating again, but feel free to say hello in the comments if you wish. If you don't wish to participate this season, that's fine too.

New registrations welcome

If you've been loitering here for a while and feel like taking the plunge and participating, now is the time to let me know. To do so, you will need to create an account on the website, and then add a comment on this page to let me know you are keen. We will need to close registrations before the season starts to get all our ducks lined up. I'll let you know when the registration window is closing and closed.

My long-time and trusted sidekick, Thinkers Little Helper, has compiled a how to page which will help you through the process and may answer a few of your questions or concerns.

How does it all work?

Soon I will create a page for round one of the NRL season. If you are a registered tipster and you are signed in, you should be able to find a link called 'Show/Hide the tipping comp form'. Click that, and you will see where you can make your selections for round one. It's not too complicated, but you can always ask a question in the comments section if you have any issues.

I'll also have more details for everyone in the days ahead, but the tipping rules remain the same, and there will be cash prizes for those that finish on the podium (and a few random prizes throughout the season). At a time when inflation and cost-of-living pressures are out of control, you'll be pleased to hear that we have kept our prices for this season exactly the same as last season. It's still free. Freaking free. We don't know how we do it either, but the secret ingredient is love. Love and whisky.

As always, if you have any questions or just want to say hello, add your comments on the page and I'll respond as soon as I can.

Will AI destroy us all?

The short answer is...probably yes. But golly gosh, haven't we had some fun along the way? As we sleepwalk our way toward the end of human civilisation as we know it, I thought it would be heaps fun to add an AI tipster to our tipping comp this season. There's no way in hecktown I'll be sharing any prizes with an AI robot, but I'm interested to see how us humans go competing against a machine. I'm cheering for the humans. We can do this.

Any questions?

You can ask a question or just say hello by adding a comment on this page. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Ah rugby league...it's terrific to (almost) have you back.
